Beer produced by Brasserie de l'Abbaye du Val-Dieu, BE Appearance: The brew is clouded chestnut, an off-white small head with little lacing but heavy curtains. (4.5) Aroma: Smelling of dried or ripe fruits, bananas, spices, some acidity. Much Belgian. (3.5) Taste: Tasting sweet, brown biscuits, syrup, brown sugar, ripe fruits, some faint bitter cherry seed nuances. (4) Palate: Medium carbonation, foamy small bubbles, soft and smooth, a big body. (4) Overall: A very rewarding and in every sense great beer. (4.5) Bottle 750 ml, thx TA&FS |
