Reibert Arbring2012-04-17 | Dogfish ApriHopAmerican IPA | 7.0%4.00 |
Beer produced by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, US/DE Appearance: An ale that is clear amber, has a high warm off-white head, good lacing and curtains. (4) Aroma: The smell is intensely fruity, mango, grape-fruit and apricots(!). A whiff of grass, nettles and pine needles. (4) Taste: Sweet toffee, brown bread, tropical fruit marmalade, and a good measure of bitter fruit peel. And, yes - apricots. (4) Palate: Medium carbonation, very small bubbles, soft and smooth, very little dry. (4) Overall: A good and smooth IPA, more fruits than hops in the picture. (4) Bottle 355 ml, bought in Reston, VA. |
Reibert Arbring2011-06-18 | Dogfish Indian Brown AleAmerican Brown Ale | 7.2%3.85 |
Beer produced by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, US/DE Appearance: The beer is drak brown with red hints, a tan head with little lacing, good curtains. (4) Aroma: The smell is dominated by roasted bread, a bit of burnt wood, some dark roasted coffee beans. (4) Taste: The taste starts sweet, brown sugar, toast, dark espresso, dried fruits. (4) Palate: Medium carbonation, soft and smooth, a big body, a dry finish. (3.5) Overall: A nice ... imperial porter? ... wonder what a few years storing would do to it? (3.5) Bottle 12 fl oz at BA Sankt Eriksgatan. |
Reibert Arbring2011-06-18 | Dogfish Punkin AlePumpkin Ale | 7.0%3.55 |
Beer produced by Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, US/DE Appearance: The beer is slightly hazy amber, an off-white minimal head, good curtains. (4) Aroma: The smell is spicy and somewhat sour, an off-putting combination - to me at least. (2.5) Taste: The taste is sweet and "christmassy", like "mjuk pepparkaka" (cinnamon muffins). Very odd for a beer. (4) Palate: Medium carbonation, somewhat foamy but soft and very heavy body. A slight dryness. (3.5) Overall: A very different beer, the spices makes it hard to grasp. But complex and intriguing. (3.5) Bottle 12 fl oz at BA Sankt Eriksgatan. |
