(3.5) Aroma: The smell is a Christmas baking spree, brown bread, gingerbread etc. (3) Taste: The taste is sweet, brown bread, some bitter oranges, then spices; clove, cardamom, cinnamon. (3.5) Palate: High carbonation, small foamy bubbles, soft, slightly sticky bur with a dry finish. (3.5) Overall: A very spicy wheat beer, almost a liquid Christmas cake, but actually went well with a club sandwich. (4) On-tap at the SAP Gasthaus in Walldorf. |

(4) Aroma: The smell is typical for many wheat bears, sour notes mixed with dough and yeast. A sweetness from caramel and toffee. (3) Taste: Taste is some sourness, bread notes and a rather short bitterness. The malt is dominating. (3.5) Palate: A heavy carbonation, small sizzling bubbles. (3) Overall: I have some difficulties with finding the right surrounding for dark sweeter wheat beers, maybe a strong hard cheese? (3) bottle |
