Beer produced by Heineken, NL Appearance: A clear chestnut brown brew with small bubbles, a warm yellow-white high head that leaves little lacing, but good curtains. (4) Aroma: Smelling malty, molasses, fudge and syrup. (3) Taste: A sweet brown bread ("vörtbröd") and porridge start, brown syrup. A hint of oranges. (3.5) Palate: Little carbonation, soft and thick texture, a big body and a slightly dry finish. (3.5) Overall: A malt bomb, a bit too much maybe. (2.5) Bottle 330 ml, at Hilton CDG. |

Beer produced by Heineken, NL - Not sure if this is their standard Appearance: The beer is clear deep gold, has a warm white rather firm head that leaves little lacing. No curtains. (3) Aroma: Smelling of all bran corn flakes, and a whiff of lemon marmalade. (2.5) Taste: The taste is sweet and rather malty, white bread with crust, slightly citric, the typical Heineken arftifical banana marshmallow is there. Finishing of with a touch of lemon peel. (2.5) Palate: Medium low carbonation, soft and slightly sticky, a light body, and some slighty dry finish. (3) Overall: More malty than the standard one, a draw if it is better. (2.5) Can 250 ml at KLM flight. |

Beer produced by Heineken, NL Appearance: The beer is clear and pale straw colored beer, a white head that settles rather quickly but leaves good lacing. (3) Aroma: The smell is sweet biscuits, boiled vegetables with a chemical, soap-like note. (2) Taste: The taste is also sweet, corn bread, some acidity, like old apple sauce. Just a hint of bitterness. (2) Palate: Medium high carbonation, a simple almost watery body. (2.5) Overall: Better than the can version, less metallic flavor, but not really any different. (2) On-tap in the Diner's lounge at AMS. |

Beer produced by Heineken, NL Appearance: A clear very pale straw colored beer, a white foam that leaves lacing. (2.5) Aroma: The faint smell is mostly sweet, some malty tones. (2) Taste: The taste is also sweet, like frost flakes, some acidity, metallic and fruity taste like canned apricots. Very small and short bitterness. (2) Palate: Medium carbonation, a bit like syrup. (2) Overall: Nothing in this beer that speaks to me now (when I first started drinking beer I actually liked this bland soup...) (2) Can, on a KLM flight. |
