Beer produced by John Smith's, UK/E (Heineken) Appearance: A clear brownish amber beer, an off-white head that settles quickly but leaves good lacing. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is weakly malty, some bread notes but also a metallic odor. (2.5) Taste: Upfront brown sugar on cereals, some fruit, apples and pears, a slightly alkaloid bitterness. (3) Palate: Medium low carbonation, small rather aggressive bubbles, a small body, a dry finish. (2.5) Overall: I used to love this beer, but that was before craft beer ruined my palate. Rather watery and boring. (2.5) Bottle |
