(3.5) Aroma: Sweet honey and fruit notes, some nuts, but also earthy charcters, cheese and dust. (3.5) Taste: Staring with honey and ripe apple notes, some lemon juice, then a nice herbal bitterness. (4) Palate: Little carbonation, soft but refreshing feeling, a medium body and a dry finish. (4) Overall: A nice light and well balanced ale. (4) Bottle, at beer tasting at De Klomp. |

(4) Aroma: The smell is mostly dried fruits, some dark bread and a bit of alcohol. (4) Taste: The taste is raisins in roasted sweet bread finishing of with bitter burned notes. (4) Palate: Medium low carbonation, a nice small dryness. (4) Overall: A good, rather modest but not so sweet, imperial stout. Feels genuine. (4) Bottle, sampled at beer tasting at De Klomp, Linköping, Sweden. |

(3.5) Taste: Initially butter scotch, then sour fruits, orange, lemon and green apples. A good bitter finish. (4) Palate: Medium carbonation, very soft and easy to drink. (4) Overall: A good solid ale. (4) On-tap at The Earl of Lonsdale at Portobello Rd. |

(3) Aroma: The smell is vinous, Madeira and sweet dried fruits, raisins. (4) Taste: The taste is much dominated by the sweetness, dried figs, raisins, some sour and earthy notes, a short bitterness. (4) Palate: Small carbonation, an oily feel and a complex body. (4) Overall: Good as a desert beer, can need e.g. a stilton as complement. (4) Bottle. |

Beer produced by Samuel Smith, UK/E Appearance: The brew is orange red, clouded with a beige small head that leaves little lacing. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is (over)ripe strawberries, hay and leafs. Like a strawberry field in september. There is also the intriguing aromas of an old stable. (4) Taste: The taste is ripe strawberries, the dark red ones that ill go bad tomorrow, some almond sweetness and saltiness from a mild Stilton. (4.5) Palate: Medium carbonation, a complex taste oscillating between pure strawberry lemonade and an olde ale. (4) Overall: This is a very interesting fruit beer, very natural, and extremely complex. (4) Bottle, sampled at a beer tasting. |
