Beer produced by Brouwerij Westmalle, BE Appearance: The beer is dark read with a brown nuance, slightly hazy with lots of small bubbles, a beige head thar clings firmly to the sides of the glass.
The smell is in the sour milk area, with hints of sweet dried fruits and yeast. Dried grass and brown (4) Aroma: Old cheese, green mold, rioe fruits. (3.5) Taste: A small sweetness, some pererved fruit arromas, slightly moldy, and a bit spicy. Black peppers. (3.5) Palate: Low carbonation, a thin body and an unexpected watery finish.

(4) Aroma: The smell is in the sour milk area, with lots of sweet dried fruits, raisins, and yeast. Dried grass and brown bread. (4.5) Taste: Sweet raisins and brown sugar upfront, complemented with sour fruits and bitter seeds. (4.5) Palate: Rather high carbonation, a rich body and a dry finish. (4) Overall: This was sampled and compared with the bottle, more smell and taste. (4.5) On-tap at De Klomp. |

Beer produced by Brouwerij Westmalle, BE Appearance: A light golden beer, cloudy, a firm white head, leaving nearly no lacing. (3.5) Aroma: The smell is mainly sour, lemon and sour milk, fruity - bananas and pears. Some yeast, (4) Taste: The taste has a rather clean sweetness, a rhubarb sourness, some alcohol and a good bitter finish. (4) Palate: High carbonation, almost foamy, complex body, a bit oily. (3.5) Overall: A good beer, warm and refreshing! (3.5) Bottle, beer tasting at de Klomp. |
