Ace Of Spades

Apperance: A clear amber beer with an off-white rather small head, little lacing but good curtains. (3.5)
Aroma: Smelling of toffee, pine and grape. A sweet heavy smell. (4)
Taste: The taste starts sweet, brown bread, caramel, then grape-fruit marmalade, some pine resin. (3.5)
Palate: Light carbonation, soft, sticky and oily, a dense body and a slightly dry finish. (3.5)
Overall: This was very sweet, almost a candy beer, but had a well-balanced and rich hop palette as well. The high ABV was for me well covered. (3.5)
