Apperance: The beer is dark dark brown, a very small tan head, some lacing and good curtains. (3.5)
Aroma: Very much roasted malt in the smell, burnt bread, dark roasted coffee beans, dark dried fruits. (4)
Flavor: Starting very sweet, dark syrup, figs, raisins, marmalade, dark chocolate and bitter orange peel. (4)
Palate: Little carbonation, sticky and oily, a heavy body, an almost coarse dry finish. (4)
Overall: A very heavy brew, in many ways. Much body, much alcohol, much hops. (4)
