Barley Wine God Jul

Apperance: The beer is clear amber with lots of bubbles, an off-white rather small head, little lacing. Very good curtains. (4)
Aroma: Smelling of sweet dried fruits, apricots and prunes, lemon zest, bitter dry grass. (3.5)
Taste: Starting very sweet, brown syrup, dried fruits, rather aggressive bitter finish. Slightly alcoholic. Crushed grape-fruit seeds. (3)
Palate: Medium high carbonation, soft, oily and sticky, a sharp and rather long bitterness. (3)
Overall: Well, will probably have to wait a couple of year, seemed overhopped and slightly boozy now. (3)
