15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA

Apperance: The beer is very dark, black, a good brown head leaving some lacing and having good curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell is very intense, dates, grass, herbs, flowers, a perfume character. (3.5)
Taste: Starting with sweet brown bread, dark dried fruits, then loads of fruity and bitter hops. Tropical fruits, grape-fruit peel. (3)
Palate: Light carbonation, soft, sticky and oily, a huge body and a very dry finish. (3.5)
Overall: Actually I found the hops a bit too much and clashing with the sweetness. (3)
