Sunturnbrew Bourbon Barrel

Apperance: The beer is brown with hints of chestnut, the tan head settles rather quickly, but leaves lots of lacing. Some curtains are seen. (4)
Aroma: The smell has dried fruits and strong wine, cask and almonds. Rather acid. (3)
Taste: The brew is slightly sweet upfront, fermented raisins and figs, a malt vinegar sourness, a few vinous notes, and much oak sourness. (2.5)
Palate: The carbonation is low, a slightly sticky feeling, a small body with a sour dry finish. (3)
Overall: Did not at all improve with the barrel ageing. Not my cup of tea. (2)
