Barley Wine

Apperance: A clear deep copper toned beer, an off-white head with little lacing and good curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell is malty, nuts, toffee, buitter scotch, roasted oats. (3.5)
Taste: The taste has sweet sherry, raisins, nuts, almond, toffee and some bitter orange peel. (4)
Palate: Little carbonation, soft texture, a big body, a slightly dry finish. (4)
Overall: New recipe, much better, a worthy barley wine now. Very good with hard Primadonna cheese. Tried 2012 as well, more Madeira, probably peeking now. (4)
