Apperance: The beer is dark dark brown, a high brown head, good lacing and good curtains. (4)
Aroma: Very much roasted malt in the smell, burnt bread, dark roasted coffee beans, dark dried sweet fruits. (4.5)
Taste: Starting very sweet, dark syrup, figs, raisins, marmalade, dark coffee, chocolate and bitter orange peel. (4)
Palate: Little carbonation, sticky and oily, a heavy body, a very dry finish. (4)
Overall: This year it was even better, and at lower ABV. (4.5)
