Apperance: The beer is clear brown with an orange tone, a dark tan head which leaves a little lacing and small curtains. (3.5)
Aroma: The smell is complex with notes of sweet oranges, coffee, malt, and some some "Christmas" spices (ginger and cardamom). (4.5)
Flavor: The taste has dark (almost burnt) bread, hard toffee, burned caramel. Some bitter orange peel. (4)
Palate: Medium low carbonation, a soft and creamy texture. A big body with a somewhat dry finish. (4)
Overall: In all a very good winter beer, to enjoy slowly whilst the snow is falling. (4.5)
