Apperance: A hazy brown beer with a hint of orange. A light beige head, leaving little lacing, but some curtains. (4)
Aroma: Mostly vinous smell, Madeira, Sherry but also nutty aromas and almond. (4.5)
Taste: The taste is rather sweet, toffee, chocolate, a small sour balance, a hint of salt. A bit stale, can be age related. (3.5)
Palate: Little carbonation, a complex feeling, soft, oily. (4)
Overall: This sample reminded much of an old ale, or barley wine. Not unexpected. (4)
