Apperance: Pours dark brown, almost black, with a thick beige head leaving a good lacing. (4.5) Aroma: The smell is full of sweet dried fruits, raisins and dates, sherry and port. A whiff of really dark chocolate. (4) Taste: A sweetness like the mentioned dried fruits and caramel sugar. But also the sherry and some dark roasted coffee beans. But very well balanced with a good lasting bitterness. (4) Palate: Small carbonation, but a good smooth body. (4) Overall: A very good and warming porter for a bad and cold weather. (4)
