Apperance: The beer is clear dark brown with hints of ruby red, the tan head is compact but rather small, rather good curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell has burnt toast, coffee aromas and some vinous notes. (3.5)
Flavor: The taste is brown candy sugar sweet, dried fruits, sherry and Madeira, coffee and cocoa beans. (4)
Palate: Medium low carbonation, a nice smooth body and slightly dry finish. (4)
Overall: A really good and enjoyable stout (rather porter-like IMHO). (4)
