Apperance: The beer is clear dark amber, a hint of orange, the tan head is rather firm and settles slowly leaving some lacing. (3.5)
Aroma: The smell is full of sweet malty notes, brown bread, but also some metallic yeast presence mixed with dried grass. (3)
Taste: Upfront brown sweet sugar, a nuance of dried apples then rather quickly a distinct bitterness. (2.5)
Palate: Very low carbonation, and the cap more or less fell of, maybe this bottle was not 100% tight. (2.5)
Overall: Honestly I did not feel the american hops, and the hop notes where mostly bitter. And as noted, the bottle might have been compromised, but the beer had not gone really bad. (2.5)
