Maredsous 8 - Dubbel

Apperance: The beer is dark brown with hints of ruby red, an off-white firm head that leaves some curtains - but no lacing. (4)
Aroma: The smell is sweet and spicy, christmassy cloves and brown sugar and dates. (4)
Flavor: The taste is more spices, sweet brown candy sugar with cloves, ginger bread and bitter orange marmalade. (4.5)
Palate: Medium high carbonation, soft and pleasant to drink. (4)
Overall: A really nice after-dinner beer, should work nice with many desserts. (4)
