Apperance: A clear dark gold beer with an off-white head that leaves some lacing. (4)
Aroma: The smell has some earthy aromas from the malt, the hops adds some grass and spices. (3.5)
Flavor: There is sweetness upfront, brown sugar, but also bread and wood, a good balanced bitterness. Almost a vinous feeling. (3.5)
Palate: Medium carbonation, smooth, rather complex, a small dryness at the end. (3.5)
Overall: A bit sweet but rather well balanced, worked well with dark meat. (3.5)
