Ola Dubh Special Reserve 12

Apperance: The beer is very dark brown, call it black, the small head is beige, leaves some lacing and good curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell has burnt wood, earthy and smoky aromas. Some sweetness and licorice. (4)
Taste: The taste has much sweet smoke, kind of barbecue sauce character, chocolate with smoked almonds on toast, slightly vinous. Some yeast tones. (4.5)
Palate: Low carbonation, very soft and oily. (4)
Overall: A good after-dinner beer, a dessert in itself. (4)
