Apperance: The beer is dark dark brown, has a chestnut head a bit uneven leaving some lacing and curtains. (4) Aroma: Smelling intensely sweet and roasted, coffee beans, figs, dates, sausages and some earth nuances. (4.5) Taste: Sweet brown sugar, syrup, burnt bread and wood, fig marmalade, sweet licorice, dark chocolate, bitter coffee beans. (3.5) Palate: Little carbonation, a thick body, smooth and oily texture, a dry finish. (4) Overall: Well, undoubtedly a lot of effort has gone into this beer, however now it is a bit unbalanced, too sweet and a bit too bitter. Could improve with storage. (3.5)
