Apperance: The beer is black with hints of brown, has a firm tan head that settles slowly and leaves good lacing. Curtains are there. (4.5) Aroma: The smell is full of ripe dried fruits, figs and raisins, some sweet licorice as well, a sherry nuance and some dark roasted coffee beans. (4.5) Flavor: The taste also starts very sweet, brown bread with fig marmalade. Then vinous tones and dark espresso notes. Some nuts and bitterness to balance the sweetness. (4) Palate: Medium low carbonation, small bubbles, smooth and somewhat sticky, a dry finish. (4) Overall: A well balanced brew. (4)
