Apperance: The beer is clouded amber with orange hues, small bubbles and light curtains. The head is very high and settles slowly leaving good lacing. (4.5) Aroma: The smell starts malty, brown bread, digestive crackers, then fruity - ripe oranges and some lemons, a hint of red apples. In all a fresh and invigorating smell. (4) Flavor: The taste starts sweet, brown bread, brown sugar, a hint of toffee, then fruit aacids, pear, oranges. Finishing off with nuts and grapefruit zest, and a slight cherry seed bitterness. (3.5) Palate: Medium low carbonation, small bubbles, medium soft texture, a good body and a light dry - rather long - finish. (3.5) Overall: A well done brew, captures the style well and has a lot going on. Possibly a little to the sour side, but there is a lot to balance it. (4)
