Apperance: The color is deep chesnut and dark brown, clear, a very small off-yellow head. No lacing. Good curtains. (4)
Aroma: The smell is fig marmalade on old blue cheese. (3.5)
Taste: The taste is sweet and complex, brown sugar, raisins, dates, figs, vinous, Madiera and Port. (4.5)
Palate: Little carbonation, very soft and sticky, smooth and not dry. (4)
Overall: A real good after-dinner ale, has it all! (4)
